I'm really a good girl...Is there a Prada boutique or a strip club in Greencastle?

Well gosh Wally, as the Beaver used to say...reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated.

I thunked I wasn't s'posed to work here no more, but crazy small-town circumstances have their way of usurping what appears to be reality.

I'm back....na na na na na na na na na.

I have a sense that the elder Spears daughter made a couple of phone calls on my behalf, and behold, my leftists rantings will pollute the otherwise pristine confines of Putnam County until at least the next time I have to inform you I won't be back.

I've been fairly amused lately by the proliferation of media attention toward Chelsea Clinton and her refusal to answer questions from the press.

The last time I saw the lovely Chelsea (a relative term, given her appearance during Lover Bill's term...let's face it, there's a reason Chelsea wasn't in front of the media in her tender youth, and it wasn't to protect her vulnerable little psyche...the kid was ugly, and ugly doesn't fly at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue) she had claimed to have spoken at over 60 universities and countless other official campaign stops. She fielded bunches of questions, but according to mom's protocol, did not respond to those from the media.

I guess my question is....what does someone from the media look like? I wonder if it ever occurred to Campaign UberFem 2008 that many of those in the media don't wear tweed, fedoras, trenchcoats...or carry a can of Red Bull and a mini-spiral notebook.

The media come in all shapes and sizes....and I hate to inform you dear friends, but we're covertly and successfully depriving you of any discernable ability to think freely or to make a choice that contradicts editorial spewings on Fox News (where no professional media personnel can be detected.)

Sorry, but I feel kinda guilty not telling you the truth, and truth is cathartic for me...so you'll have to indulge me in my selfishness.

Oh, by the way, the new ink looks fierce....at least Britney will look like she's wearing something below the waist. Always told you there was a wholesome young lady in there somewhere....ya just gotta give a girl some time.

Glad to see your back and that your prose will be gracing our local rag once again!! (Until the next time they decide to let you go) And boy did you hit the nail on the head about Fox News!! We have to put up with having to watch that trash over here; we too are spoon fed as to what we are allowed to watch by the Armed Forces Network. Can't wait to get the chance to read a real newspaper or see a real television news broadcast. But thankfully I still have the occasion to access the Internet and read your Blog!! And what's with you and Britney? Next thing I know is that you are going to invite her to the County Fair seeing how you and she are so close. Welcome back man.

What? The media reporters don't wear fedoras with the attached "Press" tickets and trenchcoats??

Man, have I been in the dark.
