Thank you, Mr. DeppPosted Friday, June 26, 2009, at 10:52 PM
Johnny Depp has said money isn't the key to happiness. But he recently brought joy to an unsuspecting waiter at a Chicago steakhouse, after leaving him a $4,000 tip.
Depp, his "Public Enemies" co-star Marion Cotillard, director Michael Mann and a dozen other people visited Gibsons Steakhouse following the premier of their new gangster movie last week. The Chicago Sun Times reported the group arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 p.m. and when the bill of $4,400 arrived at nearly 2:30 a.m., Depp made sure the longtime Gibson's waiter was properly compensated for his time. As a former waitress, I could not imagine receiving a several-thousand dollar tip. I also could not imagine serving celebrities like Johnny Depp. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
