The saga continuesPosted Friday, October 23, 2009, at 12:06 AM
The saga with my car continues. I have to officially drop a large sum of money on two parts that have become enigmas in the used parts world. The harmonic balancer went out and took out a few other crucial parts. To my dismay, no one seems to have a good one in stock in a salvage yard or seem to carry the right one.
My mechanic and I thought we found one out west and we ordered it. Unfortunately, the people out there don't know the difference between a supercharged car and a non-supercharged car. I can understand if you don't work around cars, you would not know what those terms mean. But if you work in a salvage yard and around cars every day, I would think you would know the difference. Apparently this does not apply to people in the western part of the country. So, I am back to my original dilemma and have decided to just buy the aftermarket parts from my trusted dealer in Ohio. So the lesson to be learned from this, just because someone works somewhere, doesn't mean they know what they are doing.
