Twilight.
Posted Tuesday, November 17, at 2:57 PM
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a Twilight fanatic. I was a Twilight fanatic before the movies, and now that the movies are being made, I am even more of one! I've read all four books twice now. I waited in line for hours for good seats to the midnight showing of Twilight. I've already got my midnight showing tickets for New Moon, along with my "Team Edward" shirt ready to wear. I can't get enough of it.

A few summers ago, my family and I were about to travel to North Carolina. We were at a store, and my mom told me to pick out a book to read for the trip there. This was the first time I ever laid eyes on "Twilight". I was already drawn in by its mysterious cover. I read the back of the book, and decided it was the book to get.

I read the whole way there, not putting it down once. I honestly couldn't put it down. I read the whole vacation, and it was a vacation well spent.

Shortly after I finished "Twilight", I convinced my mom to buy the next two books in the series, "New Moon" and "Eclipse". I've never read so quickly in my life. After Eclipse I had to wait for the last book of the series, "Breaking Dawn" to come out. I was overwhelmed with anticipation at that point.

I was extremely happy with the ending of the series, but at the same time devastated that it was over. It was just a fantastic story, and I never wanted it to end. I even got my mom to read them. I guess she wanted to see for herself what was taking over my life at the time.

A vampire love story may seem ridiculous to some, but just give it a chance and you will probably fall in love. Just saying.

Jobless
Posted Wednesday, November 4, at 1:05 PM

Being jobless definitely has its advantages, such as having more time to do things and not paying for your own stuff. But lately, the disadvantages have been taking over. It's been great not having a job my whole life, but I think I'm ready and willing to change that now...

Chicago
Posted Tuesday, October 20, at 2:35 PM

Last week, my senior class was given the privilege of going on a trip to Chicago. It was a wonderful treat, thanks to the administration, and also a wonderful little break from school. When our bus arrived in Chicago at around 9 in the morning, we started our day right away. We visited the John Hancock Observatory, where we went up 94 stories in less than 40 seconds in the fastest elevator in North America. On the 94th floor of the building, there is a great 360 degree view of the city...

Fall
Posted Thursday, October 8, at 2:40 PM

Fall is here, my favorite time of the year. I love everything about the month of October. The sights, the smells, the events, everything. The weather is perfect for wearing a scarf and boots, which is my favorite thing to wear. It also calls for frequent trips to Starbucks for hot chocolate and lattes. Yes, I drive all the way to Plainfield just for Starbucks. It's well worth it...

Being Sick
Posted Wednesday, September 23, at 12:41 PM

This past two, long weeks, I've been sick. Yes, I had the flu, and yes, it was terrible. I have literally just been miserable. I've missed out on school, interning, and going places with my friends. When I attempted to go out on the weekend, I only felt worse the next day...

Oh, procrastination.

Study for econ test, write essay for English, memorize Shakespeare quotes, study for vocab test, write another essay for English...tonight. Why do I procrastinate so much? It would be so simple if I just did a little at a time! Why would anyone want to do so much in one night? They wouldn't want to, and neither do I. So why do I do it?...

I want my 90's Nickelodeon back!
Posted Wednesday, August 26, at 12:25 PM

This morning, just like every school morning, I made myself a bowl of cereal and flipped on Nickelodeon. This has been the routine my whole life. I was watching this cartoon, and it was just terrible. I can't even remember the name, if that tells you anything. I then realized that Nick just isn't the same as it used to be. I don't enjoy my morning cartoons anymore. (Except for Spongebob, of course.) Maybe it's because I'm not a kid anymore, but I think it's more than that...

Senior Year.
Posted Monday, August 17, at 12:54 PM

"High school was the best time of my life." I have heard my parents say this over and over, and I never quite understood how that could be. Today, during my senior class meeting, I took a look around the cafeteria at my classmates. Some of them I have known basically my whole life, kindergarten through now. I took a look at the big eagle painted on the cafe wall, the photo of last year's seniors, the lunch menu for the day...
