Being SickPosted Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 12:41 PM
This past two, long weeks, I've been sick. Yes, I had the flu, and yes, it was terrible. I have literally just been miserable.
I've missed out on school, interning, and going places with my friends. When I attempted to go out on the weekend, I only felt worse the next day. Staying home from school doesn't seem too bad, but when there is nothing on TV, and your satellite dish is broken, it is awful. Also, catching up on twenty pounds of homework is just not fun either. Another bad thing is that no one wants to visit you because they don't want to get sick. So basically, it's terrible and very, very boring. Every time I'm sick, my mom really takes care of me. I mean, she just caters my every single need. She takes my temperature, brings me my orange juice, or plays a movie for me. It's really pretty great, and I don't know what I would do without her. She even went to get me some pill medicine when I complained about the liquid medicine that I was taking, which was completely disgusting. She is definitely the reason that I'm feeling better now. So, now that I am finally feeling better, Mom somehow manages to get sick. This seems to happen every time. It's not how I mean to repay her. Sorry Mom!
