Random Thoughts

As we draw closer to game time, a few things are floating around in my head and trust me when I say that it gets pretty crowded up there sometimes. Anyway, game related or not here we go:

* I am a little worried that Dwight Freeney might not play but not enough that I think it will affect the outcome of the game. If you will think back, he was limited to 3rd down passing situations towards the end of the year because of foot problems and, until we decided to let the Jets win, we seemed to be doing just fine. Robert Mathis is every bit as good as Freeney at getting to the quarterback and Jim Caldwell as proved himself to be every bit as good, if not better, then Tony Dungy so I am pretty sure we will be in good hands come game time.

* I don't care how much that Kate Gosselin hair costs! Trust me, if I had crazy money I would spend it on some very stupid stuff and so would you! Her 15 minutes was up a long time ago and I really wish the whole thing would dry up and blow away in the wind like her ratings.

* I love PTI! If you know what PTI stands for you know why I love it and if Dan Lebatard were to step in for either Tony or Mike the show would not miss a step.

* When exactly did Hurricane Katrina happen and why is it so important that the Saints win because of it. I completely understand that it was devastating and I am not trying to lessen the impact. All I am saying is that the city of New Orleans does not need a Super Bowl win to recover. If that's the case then we deserve a Super Bowl win because of the Pacers...that was for you Bob. And don't everyone start with the e-mails telling me I have no compassion. All I am saying is this is a non-story fabricated by the media to have something to talk about for three weeks

* Darius Rucker could not be best new artist at the CMA's this year.... HE WAS HOOTIE!!!

* I know it is not a wing but boneless Buffalo wings are the greatest food ever. I could eat them every day with bleu cheese and celery.... no ranch! The wing is meant to be consumed with bleu cheese only and to use ranch is untraditional! Is there a restaurant in town that does good boneless wings? UPDATE: I was just informed by Chief himself that Chiefs serves boneless Buffalo wings and I know first hand that the Bleu Cheese there is excellent! I will be trying them soon and I will let you know if they pass the test:)

* I do not like to be in big groups of people to watch important games. I want to be able to rewind good plays, listen to the announcers, or pause if I need to get a snack. Every time I am in a large group of people someone is there to socialize and not watch the game and I do not want to socialize while I am watching the Super Bowl.

* That new line up on Wednesdays on ABC, hands down funniest shows on TV except for Family Guy.... Road House

* It doesn't take much for me to not like a team playing the Colts but I would have been ok if the Saints were to win until the defense coach made those cracks about taking Manning out. Now I hope Mathis gets one good shot at Brees.... just one good shot!

Whew, Nothing like running off at the mouth for a few minutes to really clear the mind. The tree is still up, I have had Colts blue on every night and I am ready to get the show on the road. I hope you all have a good Super bowl week and I hope we are all celebrating come Monday. For the record.... 35-31 Colts.
