200,000

A few weeks ago me and my Honda crossed the vaunted divide that separates an old car from a really old car. It was actually pretty neat timing.

I was driving back to my hometown for my friend Chelsea's wedding, half paying attention to the odometer as I drove. I was in kind of a hurry because I had to leave the morning of the thing and it's a ways away.

Just as I was crossing over "The Causeway", a route I've probably taken 2,000 times in my life, the dial rolled over to 200,000.

The weird thing is that although I grew up there, I hadn't driven that way in probably several years. Still, my car knows that road pretty well and I'm sure she was excited to have her special milestone happen there. Good karma for me.

(I wonder if I should start paying more attention to those orange lights recommending I check my engine, now that my car has so many miles on it.)
