Wilson's Words
This week was full of action.
Journalistic action, that is.
In my second official week as a staff writer for the Banner Graphic, I have visited Roachdale and Bainbridge, and I've met a myriad of folks who have genuinely good hearts.
Attending a Greencastle school board on Monday, a community watch kickoff meeting on Wednesday and Ivy Tech's graduation ceremony for nurses on Friday, I now feel that I'm beginning to know the "lay of the land."
From Taco Bell to Dollar General, and from Depauw to the Fairgrounds, I'm taking in the full scope of this place called Greencastle. Although unfamiliar, the good people of this town are making me feel welcome.
However, I still have a long way to go as far as familiarizing myself with the local population. I look forward to meeting the rest of you in the weeks ahead!
