I would have to agree, (for the most part anyway). We had a wonderful time and we appreciated everything that was put into it. It was great to see how many people participated in the festivities and the organization. The fish fry on Friday night was a huge success. We waited in line for about an hour and we even came later than when it started. The parade was very neat for such a small town!

Now here is a part that I thought needs some better work and more attention to for next year. After the parade we did attend the kid games behind the library. We have a 2 year old that was extremly excited to be involved with the kids and the games. I do have to say the games were very appropriate for the kids however, the people involved doing the games (which I believe was the Roachdale Christian Church) need better manners. Well at one particular station they told her she couldn't play because she already played it once. For goodness sake there was like 5 games. My daughter could care less for the candy she just wanted to play the games. She wasn't going to take more candy and there wasn't a line of people waiting to play the game, she just thought it was cool seeing the little ducks float and that you could pick them up and see a number underneath it. After they made her cry we left immediatly! So I hope more time and direction will be focused on the game section next year.
