Squirrel crossing

Posted Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 11:21 PM

I saw the funniest thing while I was driving through downtown Greencastle Wednesday evening.

I was waiting for the stoplight at the corner of Jackson and Washington streets (southwest corner of the courthouse) to turn green. There was another car in front of me and it was also waiting to turn.

A split second before the light turned green, a squirrel ran from the north side of the road to the south, at the crosswalk, just like he knew what he was doing. Once he stepped onto the sidewalk and out of harms way, the light changed and we proceeded through the intersection.

I thought that was so funny, I wanted to share it.
