THE PACK IS BACK!

Favre -- reaching new heights
Whoo-Hoo!!!!

The Green Bay Packers are 3-0 and I am a happy man.

I wrote a blog about the beginning of the NFL season and I need to make a retraction. A retraction of a statement that should never have left my mouth. Maybe I was a little harsh on the Colts at first but I still mean that, that's not what needs to be revised.

What I need to clarify is the statement that the Packers might not win the big game. Well, I've changed my mind. The Pack attack is back. Look out!

But in my defense, my judgment was skewed, but it was not my fault. I blame CBS.

All pre-season people living in Indiana are conditioned -- better yet assaulted by secret messages. Subliminal whispers about those Colts. Peyton Manning this, Marvin Harrison that -- OK maybe I'm taking it a little too far but the whispers made me do it.

Take Sunday for example. My beloved Packers are playing a great game against San Diego, Favre is going for the record and we actually rushed for over 40 yards -- this is a momentous occasion. But there I am, watching the Colts smack around on the Texans, keeping tabs on my team -- ON MY CELL PHONE.

All I'm asking for is for the Colts to go back to not selling out so I can watch a different game. As soon as they start losing, we all know it will happen. The bandwagon gets pretty lonely during a losing season. I should know, I'm a Green Bay fan,

Another solution for me would be to have the Packers and Colts play. Let them go head-to-head. I know… I know…we'd have to play in the dome 'cause if it gets below 65 the Colts get a little jittery.

I also mentioned in that blog about our favorite gunslinger of the north and I had multiple people stop me in the streets and scold me. They told me I was delusional, that Favre was a shadow of his former self. In short, he was an old man.

Take a peek at what that old man is doing. Nothing much really -- just posting a 93.4 passer rating, 6.9 yards per completion, six touchdowns and 287 yards a game. Oh yeah, he's tied for career touchdowns with Dan Marino. He's a legend folk, just admit it and we can all get along.

I'll leave you with that and I will be back next Monday with another Packers blog.

Same Pack time, same Pack channel.

Amen, Brother.

I'm tired of the Central Indiana press trying to brainwash us into some kind of blue and white haze. Real football is played outside. Being a little too hot or too cold is part of it.

Thank God for places like Green Bay and Buffalo and Chicago and Pittsburgh. That's football as it should be, not basketball on grass.
