The twisted reality of a father -- Part TwoPosted Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 12:50 PM
*Some names have been changed to protect the innocent*
I welcomed my second child (two girls) on Tuesday and again it has brought things into perspective for me. I love being a dad but what I love more is how a child will shift your view on thing and are able to get away with things that the normal person could not. For example, if a person in public after dinner spit up on me, I might have a few negative words to say but with J it flow like Niagara Falls and I smile and say "How cute is that". Demented. She weighed in just shy of seven pounds and was 20 inches long, just slightly bigger than her big sister C. The one big difference concerns hair. Where my first child had no hair (and I mean ZERO), my new little one has a good amount of dark, curly hair just like her Mommy. So now it's officially back to no sleep, making sure I'm weighed down like a pack-mule, not being able to go out and about as often, more Big Bird less SportsCenter and most of all, mountains of soiled diapers -- and I can't wait. Stay turned for the continuing adventures of C and J. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |
