The countdown has begun
I promised the next time I blogged I would be discussing my new viewing pleasure Dexter but I have to revisit some old ground that is becoming smaller by the minute.
My beloved Jericho is down to two episodes and no word yet from CBS on its fate. I can understand why a network would want to cancel a show with a huge fan base and a hit on the Internet. Those pesky viewers -- who needs 'em!
Now my inside sources tell me the fate of my series has already been decided and CBS is ready to pull the plug. But instead of letting the series go to another network and live, they will air an ending episode that ties all the little end together nicely. Ahhh, CBS you such a good friend.
The series is beginning to pick up steam again and has many storyline yet to explore but the network needs to clear space for great programming like the lifeless "Ghost Whisperer" (no pun intended) and "Numbers". They are even talking about possible bringing back "Moonlight" for another try. If you didn't get a chance to see that gem -- you're one of the luck ones.
I know this sounds like I'm doing a fair bit of bellyaching but it tears me apart that they will kill good programming for some pet projects they don't want to let go. I guess they believe if they give shows like "Ghost Whisperer" three years and 62 episodes it will take off like a rocket ship.
I am already planning my festivities for the final two episodes of Jericho with a blowout extravaganza. Since I'm in the office at night, I DVR the episodes and enjoy them blurry eyed at three in the morning after a nice big bowl of Fruit Loops. Actually I've been on a pretty wicked Cocoa Puffs bender for the past few weeks.
I will try to make this my last blog about the good citizens of Jericho and venture into more mature subjects like cartoons, Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
