Let it snow!

Posted Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 12:18 AM

Somehow the fact that a huge snowfall was on its way completely caught me by surprise. I found out about it while watching "The Cape" on DVR Sunday night/Monday morning and now I'm jazzed.

I'm not looking forward to just the initial snowfall, but what comes after, namely snowmen. Our last round of snow didn't allow myself and my daughters to get out and partake in the wintery tradition. This time around we'll be ready.

Unfortunately we had plans the day the snow began to melt and therefore a snowman didn't find his way into our front yard. We had to watch while Frosty almost literally slipped through our fingers.

So I'm not making plans for the next two weeks to make sure my days are free. I've cleared the schedule and have my gloves ready to roll as soon as the fluffy stuff is willing to cooperate. And for the few of you wondering, yes, I make snowmen in shorts.

Now an update on my Project Christmas 365. The project only lasted 11 days, but that's 10 more than I actually thought I would get. And one thing is for sure, I'm going for 12 next year.
