What's Halloween?Posted Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at 1:59 PM
I'll be spending time with this guy all weekend :)
I've never been one who enjoyed dressing up. Although, I was pretty much forced to each year in college, I am not a fan. Now, that I've graduated I'm happy to say I will hopefully not have to dress up ever again, although I know that won't happen. Last year, I was lucky enough to be in Washington D.C. for the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, and surprisingly not that many people dressed up for Halloween. This pleased me greatly as I did not bring a costume with me. I cannot wrap my mind around spending money on a costume to wear for one maybe two weekends and never using it again. So, my plan for this Halloween weekend is to go back home to Chicago to go see the Chicago Blackhawks dominate the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. Even though it's pretty much a guaranteed win I'm always excited to go to a game. The actual day of Halloween I will most likely be watching scary movies and not leaving my house. In which, I will probably get so freaked out that I will be forced to sleep with every light on in my house. I'm a huge scaredy cat yet I love watching scary movies, it's strange. For Halloween (Samhain), I'll be finishing up moving my store from the wilderness of Indiana street (where people are still, 2 years later, surprised to discover a bike shop in Greencastle) to the thoroughfare of commerce, Jackson St.
I will be dressed up as a struggling local business owner, but that's how I normally dress. I'm with you on the costume thing... I don't get it.
