Like a kid again

It's been just over two weeks since I was on vacation in Florida. It's an extremely rare thing when my parents and I go on family vacation, it actually hasn't happened in 12 years.

However, my dad had a work conference in Orlando and my parents sprung the news on me that I had been waiting for, I was going back to Disney World.

I don't know what it is about Disney World, it is always a fun time. I have been begging my parents to take me back to Disney World for years. I even asked them to take me to Disney World as my graduation present from college.

To me, Disney is a place where you can feel like a kid again. It doesn't matter how old you may be, Disney is like being in a different world.

As a young kid, I remember going to Disney World quite often. It was always a stressful time as my mother planned our day of going on every single ride and attraction at the park. We never skipped a single thing. This time however, I was in charge.

According to my parents, this vacation was about me. I called the shots and I decided what rides we were going to ride and not ride.

Most of our time, the three days we spent at the parks, was spent at MGM or what is now called Hollywood Studios. There was this fantastic Toy Story ride, which my parents and I rode about eight times in a row.

Being able to spend time with my family was the best thing I could have ever asked for. The vacation had come at the right time. Sometimes you just need that time set aside to realize what is really important, family.

I was able to ride all my favorite childhood rides, including a favorite of my dad and I, Dumbo. It's not often that I am able to spend a week with my parents and I loved every minute of it.

Was it more fun when I was a kid? Yes, but it was nice to let loose and not have to worry about anything except trying to track down Mickey Mouse.
