 Andrew Thede, dressed as a bee, enjoyed feeling the blue slime at Putnam County Public Library during the Halloween festivities there Wednesday. His mother, Denise, donned a big blue wig to dress as Marge Simpson while brother Michael (left) was a bug catcher.

 It was the first trick-or-treat for hot pepper Delton Moore, age 4 months, as Cindy Lycos, Greencastle, helped him reach into a jar held by Bright Futures employee Ashlyn Archer, who dressed as a pirate. Spiderman Paul Jacob, 5, watched during the downtown event.

 "Tin Man" Michaela Ness, 5, "Cowardly Lion" Kelsey Ness, 9, and "Dorthy" Andrea Ness, 3, went in search of the Wicked Witch on Wednesday, and had several to choose from during downtown trick-or-treat hours.
