Greencastle High School graduation featured 132 students receiving their diplomas Friday night. The night included an emotional presentation posthumously honoring Riley Louis Sutherlin to his parents, Ronald and Alana Sutherlin. (Banner Graphic/SABRINA WESTFALL)

During an emotional presentation Friday night, Principal Russell Hesler honored Ronald and Alana Sutherlin with a diploma in memory of their late son, Riley.

Valedictorian Beth Ann Hansen hugged teacher Nicole Kempf during the Valedictorian Medal Presentation at Friday's graduation ceremony in McAnally Center.

Many students decorated their caps for Friday's ceremony, but Brittany Love took a more 3-Dimensional approach with the bright colored flowers on her cap.

Matthew Cavaness and Dave Hansell, McAnally Center custodian, discussed the commencement ceremony before the students lined up. Hansell said while his trademark is to dye his goatee regularly, he picked out the school's color of purple special for Friday's ceremony.
