This sign was found outside the residence of Cheryl Salsman and her husband welcoming patrons to the Berry Street flea market Saturday. The Salsmans have been a part of the tradition since its inception 34 years ago.

Randy Evans serves bean soup to his wife Rhonda Saturday during the Berry Street flea market. Evans has made the traditional ham and bean soup for the past two years during the flea market. This year, Evans made 30 gallons of beans in an old cast-iron kettle, which was kept warm by a propane burner. It took 24 hours for the beans to soak and four hours to cook them. Evans said he was up at 3 a.m. Saturday morning preparing the soup.

Susan Weaver sells "walking tacos" at Nico's Tacos stand on the 100 block of Berry Street Saturday during the flea market. Despite the cold weather, people still lined the streets for the 34th annual Berry Street Flea Market. The taco stand is owned Nico Briones.

Remember this store? This is a birdhouse painted in likeness of Owl Drug Store, which used to be located on the square in downtown Greencastle. Berry Street resident Joyce Leer painted several birdhouses in the likeness of old downtown stores, while her husband crafts them. They were just one of the many items found for sale during the flea market.
