The family of Tom Hendricks Sr. was the 2009 4-H Supreme Showman donor. Tom Sr. showed a love for sheep and exhibiting at fairs nearly 70 years ago. It was his passion until his death in 1974. For several years, Tom was secretary and later president of the Putnam County Fair Board. He was a great supporter of the 4-H program and the work ethic it developed in kids like Jones. Brock, the son of Steve and Brenda Jones of Roachdale, has been participating in 4-H for nine years. The 18-year-old North Putnam senior has future plans of attending Ball State University for communications and sports broadcasting. His 4-H activity is sheep. Brock's extra-curricular activities include basketball, football, baseball, SADD and FCA.

Kristen Fry, first runner up in the Miss Putnam County contest, presented Walter Colvin with the Reserve Grand Champion Showman award on behalf of the Phil Fry family. This is Colvin's eighth year participating in 4-H. His projects included swine and sheep. The North Putnam junior is the son of Chad and Kelly Colvin of Russellville. His future plans are to attend and judge livestock at a junior and senior college level. He also plans to raise show pigs.

Sixteen-year-old Cody Beck concentrates on the judge and his beef cow during Supreme Showman Thursday night at the Putnam County 4-H Fair. Beck has been a member of 4-H for eight years and participated in beef and swine. He is a member of Working Farmers 4-H Club, American Junior Shorthorn Association and National Junior Hereford Association, of which he is the director and assists in fundraising and volunteers. The North Putnam High School junior plans to attend college and would like to major in animal science or an agriculture-related field. He hopes to someday own his own cattle operation.

Fifteen-year-old Jacob Kirkham listens to the beef judge during Supreme Showman Thursday night. Kirkham has participated in 4-H for seven years in the dairy project. He is a student at North Putnam High School, where he plays football, basketball and runs track. Kirkham is the son of Matt Kirkham and Missy Boyd. His future plans include attending college.

Shea Mahoney-Sutherland, 16, tries to keep her sheep calm during the Supreme Showman Thursday night. Shea is the daughter of Rick Sutherland and Erin Mahoney. She is a student at South Putnam High School and hopes to attend a college where she can major in veterinary medicine. Shea hopes to own a large animal clinic in the future. She has participated in 4-H for eight years and has been involved in horse and pony for all of those years. She has also exhibited numerous projects in the community building and given demonstrations on both the state and county levels.

Tabitha Arnold, 18, controls her barrow during the swine portion of Supreme Showman Thursday night at the Putnam County 4-H Fair. Arnold is a 10-year member of 4-H and participated in Boer Goats and foods. She is 2009 graduate of South Putnam High School. She will attend Butler University and plans to pursue a career as a pharmacist. Arnold is the daughter of Troy and Marsha Arnold of Fillmore.
