Cougars pick up win over Falcons (02/22/06)
CAYUGA -- Wes Peek is one game closer to breaking .500 as head coach of the North Putnam High School boys' basketball team. The Cougars knocked off the North Vermillion Falcons Tuesday on the road, 65-48, claiming their eighth win of the season. After the first quarter, it looked like the Falcons were going to give the Cougars a run for their money, but in the second quarter, North Vermillion found itself fighting to stay in the game...
Forest Shumaker (02/22/06)
Forest E. Shumaker, 70, Largo, Fla., formerly of Indianapolis, died Tuesday. He was the son of Emmett and Mary (Finchum) Shumaker. He was employed at J.C. Penney at Castleton for 30 years. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Largo, Fla., and Franklin Road Baptist Church, Indianapolis, where he served as deacon for many years and was a choir member.
