Traffic tussle big concern at South Putnam (06/21/06)
Saying there had to be a better way to park vehicles at the high school, incoming South Putnam Principal Kieth Puckett approached the SPCSC school board with a proposal to fix the problem. Puckett told the board that too many vehicles were occupying the fire lane while waiting to pick up students, something that had to be addressed for safety concerns before the 2006-07 school year begins...

Council reviews options to solve tower situation (06/21/06)
Concern about the number of radio antennas perched on top of the Putnam County Courthouse has led to approval for a study on its overcrowded radio tower. The Putnam County Council on Tuesday encouraged 911 Director Dave Costin to go ahead with work by J&K Communications to see if any of the antennas serving 23 county agencies can be relocated off the tower to lessen the chance of damage during a storm or other disaster...
