Putnam County Fair Queen contestant applications are now being accepted and are due by Tuesday, May 29. Man dies in Saturday morning crash (05/14/07)
A Greencastle man was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday on U.S. 231 north of Cloverdale. Joseph Allen Bumgardner, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputy Gregg Slover reported that Bumgardner was the only occupant of a southbound Ford 150 pickup truck that went off the road just north of County Road 700 South.
