George W. Minkler, 88, Greencastle, died Saturday. Born in Coxsakie, N.Y., he was the son of Lester and Pearl (Harris) Minkler. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he earned a battle star in France and Germany. He was a graduate of Cornwall on the Hudson High School and Purdue University. Ruth Omadene Decker, 94, died Friday at her brother's residence in Muncie following an extended illness. Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Henry J. and Effie "Marie" Murphy Smith, and attended Greencastle Schools. She moved to Muncie in 1935 and was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company during World War II, and at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Halteman Village Baptist Church...
