Pick a college (09/29/11)
Gloria Cooper and son Keith, a Greencastle High School senior, talk with Rose-Hulman School of Technology assistant vice president Michael DeVasher at the Area 30 College Fair at the Dixie Chopper Convention Center. The event brought students from all four Putnam County high schools to the event and featured other colleges both public and private, including Purdue University, Anderson University, Ivy Tech and others.
Coats for Kids (09/29/11)
In addition to celebrating homecoming festivities Friday night, the students of South Putnam will also be supporting the community by collecting new and gently used coats for the Coats for Kids program coordinated through the Putnam County Youth Development Commission. Student Council members are staffing the coat drive. Coats can be placed in the collection boxes at the game. Coats will also be collected at South Putnam Jr./Sr. High School during school hours beginning this Friday. Coats will be later distributed to people in this community.
