Dear Editor: The bids on the proposed downtown parking garage project have come in one million dollars higher than estimated. Perhaps the shock of this realization will give the people involved pause for thought. Even if the estimates can be brought into line, do we really need a $3.4 million parking garage in Greencastle, or could our Stellar Grant funds be invested more wisely?...

Slope work to close Albin Pond Road at dam early next week

Separate calls of a possible drunk driver and a stolen car turned out to be one and the same Wednesday evening. The resulting pursuit resulted in a car into two gravestones and a Greencastle man in jail. Ex-physician serving time in sex and drugs case asks sentence modification

Almost exactly one year to the day he pled guilty to five felony counts of unlawfully dispensing narcotics to patients -- sometimes in exchange for sexual favors -- a former Roachdale physician is asking that his prison sentence be modified. Ray D.
