John E. Shoemaker, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 2 at Putnam County Hospital. He was born April 13, 1928 in Floyd Township to Worley and Edna Katherine (Dicks) Shoemaker. John married Betty Lee Whitaker on Aug. 12, 1950 and she survives. Also surviving are daughter Janice Rissot (Jeff) of Noblesville, son Doug Shoemaker of Reelsville, grandsons Jacob and Jordan Rissot, brother Roy Shoemaker (Ann) of Greencastle and a large extended family and friends...
