Chester Richardson

Chester Richardson, 85, Cloverdale, formerly of Danville, died Monday at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Born in Kentucky, he was the son of Bantford and Mary Rebecca (Sparks) Richardson.

He was a supervisor at AT&T for 35 years, retiring in 1977. He owned and operated C&M Electric in Danville, Indiana, from 1977-94.

He was a WWII and Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was post commander of the former VFW Post at New Winchester.

He was married to Marjorie (Payne) Richardson in 1943. She preceded him in death in 2001.

Surviving are two sons, Roger and Joseph Richardson, both of Cloverdale; and daughter, Rebecca Long, Cloverdale.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with George Petree officiating. Burial will be in the K. of P. Cemetery at Lizton.

Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Saturday.
