Miriam Louise Sallust, 94, Greencastle, died Wednes-day morning at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Parke County, she was the daughter of Albert Martin and Rose Ann (Lancaster) Thompson.

She had worked as a receptionist at Mason Hall at DePauw University. She also worked at Lucia's and Ella Marie's Fabric stores. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Lydia's Circle at the church, and the Monday Club.

She married Clyde Rayburn Sallust on March 13, 1934. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Braden, Greencastle, and Jean Sickmann and husband Bob, Richmond; three sisters, Maybelle Rice, Greencastle, Helen Godfrey, Greencastle, and Daythel Poe, Cloverdale; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Fred and Glen Thompson, infant brother John Marion, sisters Irene Woods and Lorene Blacketer, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Greencastle, with Rev. Paul Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time.
