Born in Hendricks County, he was the son of Samuel and Cordelia Snapp.
He was retired as s training director at the Rockville Training Center. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was also a member of the rockville First United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge. He graduated from Fillmore High School and attended Indiana State University.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Sylvia; daughter Michele and husband Chip, Green Cove Springs, Fla.; son Michael Snapp, Jacksonville, Fla.;sister Helen Appleby, Cloverdale; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by sister Mildred Tilford.
Private services and burial will be conducted at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery near Orange Park, Fla.
A celebration of life is planned for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Turkey Run Inn. Friends and relatives may attend.
