Walter W. Olson, 89, died Monday morning at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas, where he had spent the last 28 winters.

He was a member of a free church in Minnesota and attended Fillmore Christian Church. He was a truck driver.

He married Thelma Jean Rissler on May 31, 1998. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, several grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and several stepgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
