Floy E. Nichols, 88, Greencastle, formerly of Fillmore, died Friday.

Born in Browns Valley, Ind., she was the daughter of Clay Harry and Ruth Olivia (Wiatt) Neier.

She was a cook at the former Ruark Nursing Home, Fillmore, and retired in 1980 from Angwell Curtain Factory, Greencastle, after 15 years of service.

She was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church, Fillmore Order of Eastern Star and the Beechwood Club.

She married Carl Eugene Nichols on Nov. 22, 1936.

Survivors include sons Andrew E. Nichols, Coatesville, and Ray Nichols and wife Sylvia, Lakeland, Fla.; daughter Beverly I. Huller and husband C.J., Fillmore; sister Pauline Ratcliff, Bloomington; brother-in-law Cecil Nichols and wife Frances, Greencastle; two sisters-in-law, Lela Richardson and husband Jack, Indianapolis, and Mary Alice Harcourt and husband Russell, Fillmore; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Anna Ruth Hooper, brother-in-law Reginal Hooper, daughter-in-law Anna Nichols, and granddaughter Pamela Ann Nichols.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Fillmore Cemetery.
