Raymond J. Reed, 92, Greencastle, died Saturday.

Born in Massolin, Iowa, he was the son of Clifton E. and Anna N. (Eggers) Reed.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America for more than 50 years.

Survivors include two daughters Sharon McColl and husband Michael, Mooresville, and Marsha Sommers and husband Daniel, Skaneateles, N.Y.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Reed, brothers Richard Reed and John Reed, and sister Mary Hotop.

Services will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery.
