Merle A. Walters, 90, Coatesville, died Monday evening.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of George and Etta (McCloud) Stewart.

She had worked in housekeeping at Hendricks Regional Health for several years, retiring in 1980. she was the oldest living member of Coatesville Missionary Baptist Church.

She married James R. Walters, who died Oct. 16, 1979.

Surviving are two sons, Glen and R.G. Walters, both of Coatesville; daughters Carolyn Kelley and husband Mike, Coatesville, and Wanda Jones and husband Mike, Colorado; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with Rev. Fred Tanselle officiating. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
