Olive M. York, 87, Greencastle, died Wednesday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Jesse and Mary (Herbert) Robertson.

A graduate of Greencastle High School, she was homemaker, volunteered at the hospital, and was a caregiver. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Greencstle.

She married Donald S. York on Dec. 28, 1940. He died April 17, 2001.

Surviving are two sons, Richard York and wife Judy, and James York and wife Sharon, all of Greencastle; five grandchildren, 11 great-grnadchildren, two stepgrandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Paul Bowen officiating.

Entombment will be in Pinelawn Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
