Margaret Ruth Miller, 86, Greencastle, died Friday at The Waters of Greencastle.

Born in Fillmore, she was the daughter of Phillip and Jenny (Campbell) Carpenter.

A graduate of Colfax High School, she had been an accountant for Grain Dealers Insurance in Indianapolis, for Maple Hurst Dairy, and Putnam County Hospital. She was a member of Fillmore Christian Church, Moose Lodge 1592, Order of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge.

She married Golden Miller in 1935. He died Oct. 11, 2005.

Survivors include son Phillip Dwayne Miller and wife Wanda, Greenwood; daughters Barbara Costin and husband Robert, Greencastle, and Charlotte Burnham, Greencastle; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Naomi Bock.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fillmore Cemetery.

Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.
