Emily Ayres Wadsworth, 44, Indianapolis, formerly of Rockville, died Wednesday ather residence.

Born at Clinton, she was the daughter of Lewis G. and Ruth Welch Ayres.

She was a teacher at Bainbridge and Brownsburg. Her memberships included United Methodist Church and Eastbrook Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a 1979 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1983 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor's of science in Education. She earned her master's in education from DePauw University in 1986.

She married Ted Wadsworth in 1986. He survives.

Also surviving are daughter Whitney Ayres Wadsworth, Indianapolis; son Marcus Alan Wadsworth, Indianapolis; and two brothers, William W. Ayres, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Thomas G. Ayres, Danville.

Graveside services were at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, with Rev. Jenny Charles officiating.
