Betty Jane Hamilton Summers, 84, Carmel, died Monday.

Born in Harmony, she was the daughter of Andrew and Rose (Britton) Hamilton.

She was a 1940 graduate of VanBuren High School.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Orlie Summers, Carmel; daughter Beckie Yeagley and husband Terry, Greencastle; sister Margaret Hayes, Indiana-polis; a grandson and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Clark, and brother Joe Hamilton.

Services will be at noon at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home, Zionsville, with entombment at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Thursday.
