Lily May Hepler, 89, Terre Haute, formerly of Greencastle, died Saturday at Davis Gardens Health Center.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Layman and Anna May (Rissler) Hepler.

A retired teacher for Greencastle schools, she was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, National Retired Teachers Association and Indiana Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are a nephew, Harlan Rissler, Florida; two great-nieces; and a great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by sister Cleo Rissler.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tues-day at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery near Greencastle with Pastor Larry Burton officiating.

There will be no visitation.

DeBaun Funeral Home, Terre Haute, is handling arrangements.
