A memorial service is set for 3 p.m. Friday at Coatesville Christian Church for Martha Lee McKinnis, 89, Lawton, Okla., who died in December.

Born in Freedom, Ky., she was the daughter of John Peden and Vienna (Swords) Jones.

She had worked at Eli Lilly during World War II. She was a past president of Oasis Club and a member of Reserve Officers Association League. She traveled with her husband on various military assignments including the Philipines, Japan, Germany and Thailand.

She married Charles C. McKinnis on Sept. 24, 1944. He died Feb. 2, 1992.

Surviving are a son, Jack McKinnis and wife Lila, Lawton, Okla.; daughter Sandra Kay Kennedy, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Wilbur Jones, Coatesville; sister Ruth Michaelis, Indianapolis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Drury, Paul, Selby, Marvin and Maburn Jones, and sisters Elsie Oliver, Maurice Smith and Eva Hamm.

Burial at Fillmore Cemetery will follow the memorial service.
