Francis P. Nichols, 91, Ladoga, died Sunday at Williamsburg Health Care.
Born at New Market, he was the son of Perry and Mary (Hostetter) Nichols.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he had been employed at R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Crawfordsville, retiring in 1978.
He was a 1934 graduate of New Ross High School, and a member of Ladoga Presbyterian Church, New Ross American Legion and Ladoga Masonic Lodge.
He married Madonna Trump at Camp Shelby, Miss., on Aug. 8, 1942. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Joe Nichols, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Jean Lane and husband Dan, and Phyllis Rooks and husband Scott, all of Crawfordsville; a brother, Charlie Nichols and wife Waneta, Crawfordsville; sister Wanda Rebenach, Indianapolis; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons Jerry W. and Phillip R. Nichols, brothers Dick, Leroy and Bill Nichols, sister Lavonna Solomon; and a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ladoga Cemetery with Rev. Paul Leonard officiating.
There will be no visitation.
