William Thomas Crane, 76, Reelsville, died Saturday at the Harborside Health Center, Terre Haute.

Born in Montgomery County, he was the son of Crawford W. and Velma (Hargis) Crane.

He worked as a truck driver for Schwerman Trucking for 38 years, retiring in July 1992.

He attended the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons William Crane Jr., Terre Haute, and James Crane, Reelsville; daughters Wendy Staley and husband Chad, Greencastle, and Samantha Crane, Brazil; brother Bud Crane, Crawfordsville; sisters Pat Sanders, Evansville, Barbara Runyon and husband Wendy, Crawfordsville, Kate Bartholomew, Celina, Tenn., Jan Meenach and husband Charles, Crawfordsville, and Charlotte Pickering, Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services. Arrangements are being taken care of by Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
