Richard E. Green, 40, Poland, died Saturday in an auto accident.

Born in Putnam County, he was the son of James Dewey Green and Doris (Guy) Delp.

He married Susan Ann Merriman on Feb. 12, 1986, who preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 2003. He worked as a trim carpenter.

Surviving are a daughter, Tove J. Green, Poland; a sister, Della Delp, Gosport; and brothers Jim Green, Richmond, and Jeff Green, Gosport.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery, Quincy.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home.
