Frances Martin Harvey, 91, Greencastle, died Saturday.

Born in Rockville, she was the daughter of Marion E. and Ethel Carver Martin. She married Robert R. Harvey on June 23, 1940.

A 1933 graduate of Rockville High School, she received a degree in education from Earlham College in 1937.

She was a Home Economic teacher and a guidance counselor for three years at Muskegon, Mich., and taught from 1958 until her retirement in 1976 at Greencastle Jr. High School. She was a member of of Gobin United Methodist Church where she and her husband founded the Old Bethel Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the P.E.O Chapter I, S.I.S. Sewing Club and Tri Kappa Sorority.

Surviving are her daughters, Margo Thomas and husband Steve, Greencastle, and Marian Harvey and friend Jay Johnson, Roachdale, and Rev. Carol Schlesinger and husband Rev. William, El Paso, Texas; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Elizabeth Rose and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gobin United Methodist Church, Greencastle, with Pastor P.T. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.
