Betty L. Sherrill, 76, Crawfordsville, died Thursday at her residence.
Born in Kansas City, Kan., she was the daughter of George B. and Mary C. (Phelps) Pyle.
She had owned the Sherrill's Family Store in Roachdale, and had previously been a secretary. She was a 1948 graduate of Shawnee Mission High School in Merriam, Kan., and was a member of American Legion Post 72 Auxiliary. She did volunteer work at The Lake of the Ozarks.
She married James L. Sherrill on Sept. 9, 1950 in Merriam, Kan. He died in 2005.
Surviving are two daughters, Jo Sheets and husband Harry, Crawfordsville, and Dawn E. Healy and husband Kevin, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Jeffrey L. Sherrill and wife Kathi, Lake of the Ozarks; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Old Union Cemetery, Morton, with Rev. Michael Whitacre officiating.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
