Summer feeding program available

The Summer Enrichment Program announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for Children.

From Monday, June 5 through Friday, July 13, free meals will be made available to children age 18 and younger, or persons more than age 18 who are determined by a state or local public education agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate in a public or nonprofit private school program established for the mentally or physically disabled.

Meals will be provided at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, 307 Simpson St., Greencastle.

Meals times are 8:30-9:30 a.m. for breakfast, and 11:30 a.m.-noon for lunch.

The meals will be provided without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability. If a person feels that he or she has been discriminated against, written notification should be provided to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington D.C., 20250.

Anyone wishing to participate in the feeding program must complete the federal eligibility form establishing financial eligibility.
