MetroNet partnering with H.O.P.

Friday, June 2, 2006

Cinergy MetroNet announced Thursday its partnership with H.O.P. Technologies, provider of advanced broadband technologies to the Greencastle business community.

Through this partnership Cinergy MetroNet will offer a host of advanced business solutions previously unavailable in Greencastle, such as high-speed internet, advanced cable television, hosted IP PBX, and a managed IT solution - all over a state-of-the-art, all fiber optic network.

"H.O.P. is excited about our partnership with Cinergy MetroNet and being able to provide the Greencastle community with sophisticated internet and communication services. With Cinergy MetroNet, Greencastle is now positioned to offer our business community the solutions that will give them a competitive advantage in their perspective markets - improving everyone's bottom line," said Tim Gierke, chief executive officer of H.O.P. Technologies.

"Greencastle has pleaded for years to have the same types of communication alternatives as other communities, and we listened to the members of this community when no one else did," said Steve Biggerstaff, president of Cinergy MetroNet. "We're proud to announce this partnership with H.O.P., a key local business, and with them are able to provide advanced telecom solutions to the Greencastle business community."

Cinergy MetroNet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Q-Comm Corporation, provides enhanced broadband services to homes and businesses in rural communities by overbuilding with fiber-optic cable to the premise. Services include both local and long distance telephone, high speed Internet access, and the latest in cable television technology. Cinergy MetroNet enhances broadband infrastructure and improves the quality of life in rural towns across America. Although Cinergy Corp. has licensed the use of its name to Q-Comm, it has no management oversight, control or responsibility over Q-Comm or any of its subsidiaries including Cinergy MetroNet.

H.O.P. just celebrated its 20th year of corporate participation as a central Indiana business entity in the communications industry. H.O.P. Technologies, originally known as the "House of Phones," opened in September of 1983 offering small business phone systems and home telephones to the local community.

Today, H.O.P. Technologies provides a complete line of Communications and Data services with an emphasis on customer service and product dependability.
