NPHS downs Wildcats

Thursday, October 5, 2006

The North Putnam High School girls' soccer team ended its regular season with a win on Wednesday, beating South Vermillion at home, 3-0.

Chelsea Greene scored one goal for the Cougars, and Brook Miller scored another.

Sarah Crosby made up NPHS's total of three goals with a penalty kick.

Senior night was particularly special for Crosby. She was the only Cougar senior not to have scored at least one goal in her high school career.

North Putnam will be in action again on Monday when it faces Crawfordsville in the first round of the Brownsburg Sectional at 5 p.m.
