SCOTTSBURG -- Over the New Year's weekend, the Greencastle High School varsity Wrestling team took part in the Scottsburg Tournament

SCOTTSBURG -- Over the New Year's weekend, the Greencastle High School varsity Wrestling team took part in the Scottsburg Tournament.

The Tiger Cubs finished with an overall record of 3-7, but had several individual grapplers stand out at the end of the tournament.

Chris Pingleton was undefeated with a record of 10-0 in the 145-pound class and Chase Dunigan went 10-0 in the 275-pound class. Robert Bittles had the third-best record of the weekend, going 9-1 in the 160-pound class.

For the rest of the Tier Cubs the weekend was a bit of a struggle.

Nate Kelly represented Greencastle in the 103-pound class, finishing 4-6 on the weekend while Mike Mahoney finished 3-7 in the 111-pound class. Kyle Sheldon finished with a 1-9 record in the 119-pound class while Kurt Cantonwine came out on top in the 125-poound class with a 7-3 record. Andrew Birt finished 2-5 in the 130-pound class while Chad Nichols went 2-1 in the 130-pound division as well. Jeremy Neeley went 4-6 in the 135-pound class while Ty Buchanan went 4-6 at 140 pounds.

Jacob White finished the 152-pound division with a record of 2-6 while Kyle Buchanan went 3-4 at 171 pounds. Ed Kidwell finished with a 3-6 record in the 189-pound class while Michael Rumley went 1-6 for the weekend at 215 pounds. Andy Harrison also went 0-3 at 215 pounds.

The Tiger Cubs will be back in action today when they host Danville at 6:30 p.m.
