Free diabetes screening July 25 at county fair

Putnam County Hospital in cooperation with the Putnam County Health Coalition, the Adult Open Class Exhibit Hall and Medtronic Diabetes and Bayer Healthcare will offer free diabetes screening and an educational event from 3:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 in the Community Building at the county fairgrounds.

Anyone with diabetes or at risk can talk to Annette Handy or another representative to learn more about testing and monitoring your glucose levels. Free diabetes risk assessment and blood glucose screenings along with educational information will be available.

Learn about real time continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy and advancements in glucose meters. There will also be information available to learn how you might be eligible for free glucose meters.
